Through Harvard FCU, you can obtain a 0% APR loan to assist with the installation of qualified energy efficient home improvements. The HEAT Loan program is offered by Mass Save, a consortium of regional energy utilities and providers.
How it works
Step 1. Schedule Your Home Energy Assessment
Contact Mass Save at 866-527-7283 to discuss your project and determine your eligibility for the Mass Save HEAT Loan Program. Depending on the type of project, a Home Energy Assessment (HEA) may or may not be required. If needed, Mass Save will help you schedule an assessment with an energy efficiency expert, who will evaluate your home’s current energy usage and provide recommended energy-saving improvements. During the visit, you may also receive a Home Loan Intake Form, Program Steps, and the Minimum Standards and Requirements.
Step 2. Apply for Your Loan with Harvard FCU
After the Home Energy Assessment is complete, the next step is to contact Harvard FCU for pre-approval. From here you can decide what changes to implement and develop your own custom energy plan.
