A Message From President & CEO, Craig Leonard, Regarding Recent Events In Washington, D.C.

Dear Members of Harvard Federal Credit Union,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to update you on recent developments in Washington, D.C., that may be of interest to you, particularly regarding the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Reports have indicated that the CFPB headquarters have been temporarily closed, and employees have been instructed to pause certain tasks. Additionally, it has been widely reported that DOGE has requested access to treasury payment systems as part of an initiative to review and streamline federal financial operations.

These developments have understandably raised questions about the potential impact on regulatory oversight and the stability of the broader financial landscape. We understand that many of you may be concerned about how these changes could affect your financial security, especially in light of the uncertainty surrounding these new federal actions.

Please know that we are closely monitoring the situation and its implications. While the future remains uncertain, we want to reassure you that at Harvard FCU, we remain committed to your financial well-being. Our dedication to providing you with reliable service, transparency, and stability will not waver. We will continue to stay informed about any potential changes, including those involving DOGE’s review of payment systems, and will adapt as necessary to protect your interests.

As always, our focus is on you, our members, and your financial well-being. We are here for you through every challenge, and we will keep you updated on any developments that may impact you. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to support you, now and always.

Thank you for being a valued member of Harvard FCU.

Warm regards,
Craig Leonard
