Harvard FCU Takes Giant Steps for BWH’s Stepping Strong Challenge
More than 50 Harvard FCU members participated in Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Step Up for Stepping Strong Challenge during the month of May. Similar to past years, the steps challenge raised money to support trauma patients at The Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation. The center was created after the Boston Marathon bombing, to transform care for civilians and military heroes who suffer traumatic injuries.
“Harvard FCU is honored to partner with such a great organization and for a good cause,” said Tom Montilli, CXO, Harvard FCU. “The nice weather definitely helped propel Team Harvard FCU, and we are thrilled that our contributions helped the Stepping Strong Center surpass their goal!”
The step challenge helped BWH secure a $100,000 donation from corporate sponsors, including Harvard FCU. It wrapped up the month, with more than 650 Million steps which took them to 135% of their 500M steps goal, which is a new record for the program.
