Harvard FCU Runs the B.A.A. 10k to Support Brigham and Women’s Hospital

Harvard FCU Team at the B.A.A. 10k run

The B.A.A. 10K was held yesterday for the first time in person since 2019, drawing more than 5,000 competitors from 45 states and 81 countries to raise money for Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). The Harvard FCU team had a great time despite some high temps!

The race started and finished on Charles Street, and runners enjoyed views of Boston Common and the Public Garden. The day even saw a record-breaking performance: Susannah Scaroni shattered the women’s world record for a 10k in the wheelchair division, surpassing the previous record of 23:34 with her own finishing time of 21:56. The Brigham and Women’s team showed up with more than 350 runners joining the event to raise life-saving funds for BWH.

Thank you to Julia Medwar, John Degnan, Tom Montilli, Katie Armstrong, CPA, Allyson Plessner, Migdalia Gomez, Conor FitzPatrick, Amy Murphy, Alan McDonald, and Gwong Long for running with us!
