Harvard FCU Introduces Volunteer Program
Harvard FCU recently launched its Volunteer Initiative Program (VIP) which allows Credit Union employees to use work time to participate in volunteering events in the community.
The first volunteer event occurred on April 20 at Food for Free in Somerville, where the volunteers packed close to 400 boxes of fresh food that were distributed to families in need throughout Cambridge, Somerville, and Greater Boston.
This was followed by an event on April 22, when Harvard FCU team members participated in the 23rd Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup hosted by the Charles River Conservancy. Volunteers picked up trash along stretches of the riverbank along Memorial Drive.
A variety of VIP events are planned throughout the year to provide all Harvard FCU staff with opportunities to give back to the communities we serve.
