George White Wins CCUA Volunteer of the Year Award
At the APEX Conference at Mohegan Sun, the Cooperative Credit Union Association honored our immediate past chair of the Board, George White, with its Volunteer of the Year Award. He is pictured here, center, with our former CEO Gene Foley and our current CEO & president Craig Leonard.
“George has worked tirelessly for the members of our credit union for nearly 25 years, always looking at ways to enhance the value we provide to them,” says Harvard FCU President and CEO Craig Leonard. “He is a true collaborator and team player who has brought out the best in his other board members. Much of the success our credit union has achieved has been the result of his leadership and guidance.”
As one of his final acts as chair, George worked to prepare the Credit Union for our conversion to a federal charter. In 2024, he stepped down from the chairmanship and from the board, moving to the newly formed Supervisory Committee.
Congratulations George!
