Harvard FCU Undergraduate Loan – Deferred Repayment Plan

If you borrowed an Undergraduate Loan and enrolled in an Interest Only Repayment Plan, you may switch to the Deferred Repayment Plan at any point during your Enrollment or 6-month Grace Period. If you would like to move forward with this request, please review and submit the form below.

Deferred Repayment Plan Request & Acknowledgment

I am requesting to change my Interest Only Repayment Plan to a Deferred Repayment Plan. Once my request is processed, I acknowledge and understand that:

- Payments will no longer be required under the Interest Only Repayment plan, but interest will continue to accrue daily.
*
- Deferment of my obligation to pay principal and interest will be provided for a period not to exceed 48 months after the first disbursement, as long as I am enrolled at least half-time.

- I will continue to receive monthly billing statements, however they will reflect a $0 amount due.

- I will receive a 6-month Grace Period after I graduate, or drop below half-time enrollment, and any unpaid interest will capitalize once my Grace Period ends and my loan enters repayment.

- Capitalization means that any unpaid interest will be added to my principal balance, increasing the loan amount I will pay interest on going forward, and the total cost of my loan.

- If able, I may still make payments towards interest while under the Deferred Repayment Plan, and a formal request to do so is not required. Payments can be made directly in my online account.
*
- Full repayment of principal and interest will begin after my Grace Period ends.
