Shelter Beautification

The Harvard Federal Credit Union team had a great day recently volunteering to do cleanup, weeding, and beautification at supportive housing in Cambridge run by Heading Home. We had the opportunity to buy some native perennials and colorful mums from local businesses Pemberton Farms Marketplace and Bonny’s Garden Center. There was a lot of overgrowth to cut back or root out, and a nest of yellowjackets to dodge. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to be together on a beautiful fall day to do good in our community. We filled five trash bags and a dozen yard waste bags. Thank you to Heading Home for giving us the opportunity to give back.
