2026 Scholarship Winners

Congratulations 2026 Scholarship Winners!

Each year, Harvard Federal Credit Union gives out college scholarships to support the children of our members. This year, we received more than 100 applications from high school seniors for the scholarship.  With the help of a volunteer scholarship review committee composed of our members, we chose ten students to each receive the $1,500 scholarship.

Craig Leonard, President and CEO of the Credit Union, said, “For more than a decade, we have run this scholarship program for our members. Every year, it is difficult for our volunteers to select the winners. The essays really showcase how the students impact their communities for the better. We commend all the applicants, and I’m thrilled to note that two of the winners are children of HUCTW members as well as Credit Union members. Congratulations to the winners, and to the whole Class of 2026!”

We are grateful to our committee, representing many of our eligible groups, including the Mass General Brigham, Harvard Union of Clerical and Technical Workers, Harvard College, Harvard alumni, Harvard retirees, Harvard University DCE, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and more. One of our review committee volunteers shared: “It’s always so hard to choose the winners, but through the process of working with [the other volunteers], it becomes clear who to recommend. I’m grateful to Harvard FCU for the opportunity to serve, since I went to college myself on scholarship.”

The winners were notified just before April vacation, and now that college decision day has passed, they have shared their final choices of college and major:
